Visionary hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan pulled out all the stops for their North American farewell tour, “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber,” in the summer of 2025 with a Cohesion PA providing the clarity of diction, output, and musicality required for the quintessential New York rappers.
With ten members on stage at any given point—at volumes up to 115–120 dBA—the PA needed to have the power to stay on top of the lyrical content while still providing exceptional clarity. Wu-Tang Clan fans know the details of every song front to finish; the audio system needed to have pristine intelligibility to translate the beats and vocals of three decades of legendary music.
Clair Global deployed a Cohesion CO12 system each of the 27 nights on the coast-to-coast U.S. tour with flown and ground-stacked Cohesion CP218 II+ for plentiful low end support and Cohesion CO8 fill for the fans up front. A combination of Cohesion CM14 and CM22 wedges, more than twenty in total, ensured the Wu-Tang Clan and their rotating roster of guest vocalists always had excellent monitoring and plentiful SPL on stage.
The tour received rave reviews from national publications, and tens of thousands of fans flockedto each city for a chance to see Wu-Tang Clan live one last time. Surprise guests, including Mary J. Blige, Lil’ Kim, Redman, Lauryn Hill, and LL Cool J, joined the stage for a truly memorable final run. The Cohesion PA not only provided the tonality and nuanced detail required by the performances, but it was flexible and efficient in its deployment for each arena’s unique geometry.
“I’ve yet to reach the limits of the subs. They have that punch, that horsepower. I knew I wanted a PA for Wu-Tang that would allow me to give as much as I wanted, and Cohesion has a lot more to give if needed. The growl of the 218, the tonality of the CO12, that certain oomph—I haven’t run into a PA quite like it, honestly.”
