The Red Clay Strays completed their most ambitious tour yet, a 33-date trek across America with dozens of sold-out amphitheaters cheering on their irresistible blend of Southern rock, country, and blues. At each stop on the 2025 “Get Right” U.S. tour, the Alabama rockers were supported by a Cohesion audio system.
The band places a high priority on the musicality of their instruments, songwriting, and lyrics; the touring PA needed to provide clarity and vocal intelligibility while showcasing the nuance and depth of each song. Furthermore, the audio system needed rigging flexibility given the venue geometry and weight restrictions (or other production considerations) at various locations.
The PA featured fourteen Cohesion CO10 loudspeakers on the main hangs and a dozen more CO10 on each side hang, with three Cohesion CP218 II+ subwoofers flown and ground-stacked per side. Six CF28 fill speakers were spaced equally across the front of the stage, as were four CM22 stage monitors. Two additional CM14 monitors were employed by the drummer and keyboardist. Clair Global deployed the rig nightly.
The CO10 system on “Get Right” treated fans to impactful, balanced, intelligible audio. “The sound was crystal clear and powerful,” noted Production Manager Kevin Freund, adding, “We got that consistency we were looking for on every show.” Sold out shows included such esteemed venues as Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre, Asbury Park’s Stone Pony, Minneapolis’ Armory, and two nights each at Chicago’s Salt Shed and San Francisco’s Warfield Theater, all of which received rich, full coverage.
“I’ve been impressed by how far the CO10 throw and how well they cover. What I’m doing has translated very well. The subs punch—they feel right—and that’s big to me. I love what we get every night.”
