1AM

The 1AM is a two-way, coaxial, passive/active (selectable), touring grade, compact, multipurpose, stage monitor/point source loudspeaker. Backed by decades of Clair Global’s renowned loudspeaker engineering, the 1AM offers unparalleled performance using coaxial horn technology in a versatile, high output, system equally capable in either portable or permanent installation applications. The 1AM is not just a road worthy stage monitor, but also a highly capable point source PA component.

The 1AM features a single 12-inch neodymium coaxial driver mounted in an optimally tuned and ported enclosure. The 12-inch weather- resistant cone driver efficiently reproduces the mid/low and low frequency range. The high frequency section is comprised of a 3-inch titanium compression driver mated to a coaxially mounted 40° x 60° rotatable horn. The horn pattern provides smooth coverage and high gain before feedback. The result is a horn with an excellent linear acoustic response and a precise horizontal and vertical pattern. The frequency range is 60 Hz - 18 kHz (+/-3 dB).

The 1AM offers the user the ability to configure the loudspeaker to be either a passive component or an active component by simply positioning jumpers on the terminal strip located on the rear of the enclosure. Dual rear mounted input connectors allow the use of multiple cabinets from a single amplifier channel. There are three additional connectors: two positioned in the left and right-side handles and the third is located on the bottom of the enclosure. When used for drum fills or in pole mount applications these additional connectors allow for clean cable management.

An optional rugged “clam shell” case provides ease of transportation and protection for a pair of cabinets enabling easy one-person handling and setup.

Designed to withstand the rigors of the road, the 1AM is constructed of premium Baltic birch plywood. The enclosure is engineered for rock-solid rigidity without adding unnecessary weight. A heavy-duty perforated steel grille backed with foam is rugged enough to withstand severe on-stage abuse. Three integrated handles provide a sure grip to safely carry and maneuver the 1AM. Weather-resistant components ensure reliability in harsh environmental conditions. A multi-step textured polyurea paint provides a durable, attractive finish.
