Challenge

TD Garden, a 19,000+ seat arena in the West End of Boston, sought to upgrade its audio system and thereby elevate the fan engagement by delivering a premium sonic experience to even the hardest-to-reach sections of the venue. They prioritized a system that would have the capacity to be used as a delay system for touring acts, as TD Garden annually received more than three million spectators, which made it the most-visited entertainment and sports facility in the New England region.

Solution

Clair Global’s first-ever permanent Cohesion installation provided a rich, full-bandwidth sound experience throughout TD Garden, including suites and the steeply raked upper balcony seating. Consistent coverage from section to section ensured every seat in the house received the same concert-level output and texture, and the Cohesion system greatly preserved speech intelligibility despite the highly reverberant environment.

RESULT

Thanks to its exceptional precision in directivity and powerful low end, the integrated Cohesion PA undeniably enhanced fan engagement at basketball and hockey games, rock concerts, and additional entertainment to fill out a full calendar of events for the arena. Tours and other visiting acts connect to this rider-friendly system, a welcome improvement for visiting system engineers, who are enabled to deliver seamless sound coverage to all seating areas.
