Colombian mega-star Karol G crossed three continents on her historic “Mañana Será Bonito Tour” from 2023–4, which became the highest-grossing Latin tour all-time for a female artist. Karol G and her team selected Cohesion for her PA, which marked the first time a Latin artist has carried her own full PA for a South American tour.
Karol G was heavily involved in her audio production and expected nothing but the highest standards from her PA. A tour that crisscrossed the globe, including stops in North America, Europe, and visits to Latin and South America, required an audio system that could be transported, rigged, and taken down with ease while meeting the Grammy Award-winning artist’s expectations for clear audio. This same PA would need the output to throw to the farthest seats in every stadium and overcome dynamic atmospheric conditions.
FOH Engineer John Buitrago trusted Cohesion as the system to deliver the exacting audio and production needs for this aspirational worldwide tour. Clair Global deployed a system comprised of 18–20 CO12 for the main hangs and another 16–18 CO12 on each side. 24–30 CP218 II+ were ground stacked left-right, and 6–9 flown CP218 II+ per side provided infra aerial support. Eight CO8 per side were used as fill speakers, and four delay towers, each with another ten CO12, covered the farthest areas of the venues, no matter where on the planet the record-smashing tour traveled. Cohesion’s form factor efficiency appealed to the production team, who fit the full PA on only seven pallets on a 747 airplane to transport it to South America and beyond. Despite weather that ranged from extremely windy and dry to tropically humid, the PA and its comprehensive toolset delivered excellent intelligibility and even coverage to enthralled crowds worldwide.
Karol G sold out such iconic stadiums as the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, MetLife Stadium outside New York, and Estadio Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid. The PA offered class-leading SPL and exceptional system response, key features for the chart-topping star, who desired her stadium shows to sound as close as possible to her smash records. With premier low and high end extension inherent in her Cohesion system, it was primed to perform as the PA relied upon for one of the world’s hottest tours—in any latitude. The “Mañana Será Bonito Tour” ultimately sold $307 million in tickets to 2.3 million fans globally.
“Karol G wants her music to sound how it does on the records. When you use Cohesion, it’s like mixing in the studio. You can recreate that experience.”
