5CX

The 5CX has been designed as a high fidelity, small format, point source loudspeaker for use in permanent installations. Its high output and wide frequency response make it an ideal choice for speech and music reproduction in environments having limited space. The 5CX features a neodymium coaxial driver incorporating a 5-inch cone driver and a 1-inch compression driver. A 70° conic, constant directivity horn provides precise coverage and output for a small enclosure. The frequency response is 150 Hz - 18 kHz (+/-3 dB).

The 5CX’s input connections are two NL4 connectors (in and thru) and a 2-position terminal strip. An internal passive crossover network provides exceptionally clear output with remarkable coherence through the crossover frequencies. The 5CX is well-suited for front fill applications with full PA systems or equally appropriate when used alone as a main speaker in a smaller environment.

Like its series companion the 8CX, the 5CX offers a seemingly unlimited number of ways to rig and/or mount utilizing a family of mounting accessories. The 5CX has (4) integral mounting points (M10 x 1.5 thread). The accessories include yoke mounting brackets for both vertical and horizontal mounting positions as well as tilt adaptors to enable pan and tilt in either configuration. The brackets also have a companion pole mount socket to allow unrestrained pan and tilt when used as a pole mount speaker. Additional accessories include threaded stud plates, pipe clamp mounts, chain rigging points, VESA tilt mount and array mode top-bar plates. The 5CX is well-suited for down-firing applications, such as large convention centers or high ceiling commercial spaces.

The enclosure is constructed of premium Baltic birch plywood. A heavy-duty perforated powder coated steel grill backed with foam and weather-resistant components ensure reliability in harsh environments. A textured polyurea paint provides a durable, attractive finish.
